SolidRun’s LX2160A Computer-on-Module based on the COM Express type 7 form factor was designed to provide a robust and modular networking computing platform. The Layerscape LX2160A features extended processing power, connectivity options and high-end networking capabilities – making it the ideal platform for an almost endless variety of networking and edge solutions.
Layerscape LX2160A COM Express type 7 module features 16 Arm Cortex A72 processors, quad 10GbE, and 18 x PCIe Gen 3.0 lanes, providing plenty of bandwidth for data path processing in multiple networking layers.
For flexibility and scalability, SolidRun also offers the alternate Layerscape SoCs: LX2120A and LX2080A featuring 12 and 8 cores, with all other features and abilities remaining the same.

Software-Defined Networking
The CEx7 LX2160A COM is fully supported under Linux. This provides customers the speed and agility to add, customize and integrate 3rd party software stacks.

SolidRun’s CEx7 LX2160A COM is designed base on the popular COM Express type 7 form factor, allowing simpler development and deployment options, and simple interchangeability with future COM Express 7 based modules.
High Speed Interfaces
Up to 16 Ethernet ports with 24 SerDes lanes for extreme data throughputs at very low power consumption, configure to support any type of external connection such as 100GbE, SATA and PCIe.
