SolidRun’s leading System on a Module (SOM) family is designed for embedded systems product developers and OEMs. SolidRun has packed a Marvell ARMADA 388 SoC (System-on-Chip), memory subsystem, I/O and interconnected subsystems into a single ultra-compact System-on-Module sized at 35mm x 50mm. The SOM is available in a variety of power, memory and storage configurations, offering engineers a unique set of off-the-shelf design features and benefits such as faster time to market, lowers design costs and reduced risks.
SolidRun’s A388 SOM comes in multiple standard configurations featuring a wide range of high performance processing options, multiple memory and storage options, and a wide array of standard and high speed I/Os including Multiple Gigabit Ethernet, Serial-ATA, Mini-PCIe, USB-2.0/ USB-3.0 ports.
The A388 SOM offers high performance at an attractive price point for demanding applications such as vCPEs, NAS, DVR / NVR and high performance networking products in industrial and commercial deployments.
A388 SOM offers advanced features that are optimized for applications such as enterprise Wifi Access Point (WAP) and NAS, with its efficient power delivery and right combination of performance / storage capacity at low cost of operation.
The SolidRun A388 SOM allows easy development of customer boards due to its compact size and rich connectivity. It enables the design of high-end products, according to the specific requirements, with little complexity while embedding the most complex design details inside the SOM itself.
To make it easier for you, we’ve created evaluation kits that can serve as a complete development platform for both evaluation and application development purposes.
The Armada A388 Evaluation kit | Pro includes Marvell ARMADA A388, 2 x Cortex A9 + all the relevant accessories for checking connectivity features and performance.
To simplify development and deployment to our customers SolidRun SW R&D teams are set to provide:
– Optimized BSP.
– Stable long term support for selected distributions.
– Ongoing contributions to mainline projects and community initiatives.
All of our public source code is available on our GitHub page.
SolidRun Developer Center is a knowledge base platform that contains hundreds of articles about topics such as getting started, product documentation and reference designs, in-depth software articles,
software development guidelines and much more.
New articles are added on a weekly basis by our hardware and software engineers.
