Kodi

Kodi is a free and open source media player developed by the XBMC Foundation, a non-profit technology consortium. Kodi is available for multiple operating systems and hardware platforms, with a software 10-foot user interface for use with televisions and remote controls. It allows users to play and view most videos, music, such as podcasts from the internet, and all common digital media files from local and network storage media.

Squeezebox

The Squeezebox ecosystem is a solution for streaming music, either locally stored music or through streaming services such as Spotify. Squeezebox devices were sold by Logitech, but are now discontinued. However, all of the software is open source. With this software it is possible to turn the CuBox-i into a Squeezebox.
