Description
Open Embedded Linux Entertainment Center (OpenELEC) is a small Linux distribution built from scratch as a platform to turn your CuBox-i/Hummingboard into an Kodi entertainment center. OpenELEC is designed to make your system boot fast.
Description
Install using Ignition
OpenELEC can be installed using the Ignition installer. Flash Ignition to an SD card, then use Ignition to download and install OpenELEC automatically.
Manual install
- Download the latest snapshot build: http://openelec.tv/get-openelec or http://xbmcnightlybuilds.com/category/openelec-cuboxi/
Configuration and use
Refer to the OpenELEC wiki for instructions on configuring and using OpenELEC. At this point OpenELEC 4.x and higher are supporting the CuBox-i. To get the very best of the hardware you can better start using the Helix on the image download location.
The unofficial repo is now up and running so all that addons are also working on the cubox-i from now on.
