Description
Gentoo is a free and open-source distribution with a rolling-release model. In contrast to binary-distribution packages are built from the source by default. This way the portage package manager can work the same on all kinds of different architectures and all architectures can share the same package repository. This is paired with the high flexibility of a source-based distribution makes it a pefect fit for a machine like the Cubox-i.
Installation
The install is basically a cross-compile of the kernel and a setup of the boot loader. From there on it is almost like any other Gentoo installation.
