AM64x Computer-on-Module allows customers to develop and deploy a low power, flexible and secure array of industrial solutions

Based on Texas Instruments (TI) AM64x Sitara family of processors, the AM64x uses the latest 16nm FinFET production technology to reach low power consumption and to allow for a fanless design to increase reliability in the field.
The AM64x SOM offers built in 2 x Gigabit industrial subsystems (PRU-CSSG) that support industrial ethernet protocols such as Profinet IRT, Profinet RT, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN). Paired with high speed interfaces such as PCIe, USB 3.0, integrated ethernet switch and general industrial connectivity options such as UART, I2C, CAN, ADC , the SOM allows for an easy development of products for applications such as Industrial communications systems, factory automation, industrial robots and machinery, industrial gateways , M2M communication and much more.

  • Industrial communication in mind

    The AM64x SOM is aimed at applications that require a combination of precise real-time processing with application processing. Utilize 2 x A53 cores for running the applications, 2 x PRUs for real-time communications and the isolated 4 x R5 core for functional safety.

  • Safety focused

    The AM64x SoC features advanced capabilities such as integrated lockstep MCU subsystem and diagnostic libraries, inline ECC, isolated Cortex-M4 core with it’s integrated peripherals can work independently from the SoC, secure boot with hardware-enforced root of trust and many more to allow mission-critical applications.

  • Flexible

    The SOM features onboard eMMC for storage, WiFi/BT and Sub 1GHz MCU for radio communication, up to 3 PHYs and comes at a small form factor of just 47x30mm to allow the most compact product development. The AM64x family features multiple ordering options for single to dual-core A53 and single to quad-core R5F options (AM6411,AM6412, AM6421, AM6441, AM6442)

  • Sub 1GHz connectivity

    Featuring TI CC1312 multiprotocol and multiband SimpleLink wireless MCU for sub 1GHz communication, supporting protocols such as 6LoWPAN, MIOTY, Wi-SUN to allow advanced sensing and metering of sensors in HVAC, buildings, medical, smart meters, and more.
