The i.MX8M SOM – Powerful, Flexible and Compact

SolidRun’s i.MX8M based System on Module (SOM) harnesses NXP’s powerful i.MX 8M in a flexible & compact SOM including a memory subsystem, power management subsystem, networking and system interconnectivity. The i.MX8M SOM will allow developers and OEMs to simplify the production cycle and reduce time-to-market drastically.

The NXP i.MX 8M is the powerful new player in the embedded systems world, with Quad 1.5 GHz ARM® Cortex®-A53 & Cortex-M4 cores, full 4K UltraHD resolution, HDR video quality and 20 audio channel support..

    Power optimized for fanless operation, the powerful Cortex A53 cores can be shut down while the M4 core subsystem keeps the code running allowing to achieve low power and real-time system monitoring.

    SolidRun’s i.MX8M SOM is built with industry leading voice, audio and video processing. With high end features like 4K resolution, professional audio fidelity with up to 20 audio channels for general purpose HMI applications / industrial automation / home audio.

    The i.MX 8M SOM can support dual independent displays over HDMI and MIPI-DSI interfaces for applications such as smart classroom, digital signage and more.

    Supports 10-bit video with HDR and enhanced video brightness / colors to display the finest details in applications such as medical imaging, quality assurance final inspection and detailed inspection.
