how can you create a boot menu to test different kernel versions?

in my mind; this should be part of 'The CuBox Installer'.

Something like minimal initrd + kernel that goes somewhere to the internet and you can pick which kernel, what ditro (and even what applications you want); then you can install as second or third partition on the micro-sd, USB, eSata or whatever.

any idea of a project we can piggy back on? (something not dedicated to PC - grub etc...)
