Searching on google for "gstreamer marvell" or "gstreamer vmetadec" produces nothing and certanly this plugin doesn't appear on default gstreamer plugins list.

So what's the history of this plugin (who is writing it?) and where can i find doc about it? I would like to know what kind of formats it decodes (h264? mpeg4? mpeg2? vorbis?). Does it support encoding? There are other plugins thant the decoder/encoder like a videosink and/or a postprocess? What format does the decoder output? Etc etc.

One should be able to easily find this kind of informations.

The driver come from Marvell, I suppose it supports whats written in the wiki for the vMeta HW

Look here viewtopic.php?f=2&t=463 for the download that contains all the source for that gstreamer plugin and bunch of other things.
